Import recipes from TikTok
There are 2 ways to import recipes from TikTok. Plum Recipes can scan the post description for recipes, or you can export a video from TikTok and import the video into Plum. Plum will extract recipes from the spoken audio.
When importing a video, you can do this with any videos in your Files or Photos app, not just videos from TikTok.
Importing video recipes
Step 1
On any TikTok post, tap on the Share button.
Step 2
Tap Save Video. The video might take a few seconds to download. You know when it’s done when you see options to share the video pop up.
Step 3
Scroll all the way to the right of the share video options, tap more...
Select Plum Recipes. If you do not see Plum, see How to add Plum to your favorites.
That’s it!
Plum will now extract the audio from the video and format your recipe.
Importing recipes with post descriptions
Step 1
Some videos have recipes in the descripions, if you tap on the more in the captions, you can see the recipe. If you can read the recipe, Plum can parse it.
On any TikTok post, tap on the Share button.
Step 2
Scroll all the way to the right. Tap the ‘More ..’ button
Step 3
Choose ‘Plum Recipes’. If you do not see Plum, see How to add Plum to your favorites.
